California State University, Sacramento, Center for Collaborative Policy (Center) in Sacramento, California announces a job opening for an Administrative Director. The Center is a self-supporting unit of the College of Social Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies at California State University, Sacramento. The Center’s mission is to build the capacity of public agencies, stakeholder groups, and the public to use collaborative strategies to improve policy outcomes. The Center designs and facilitates complex collaborative processes that result in policy actions and agreements, transformation of stakeholder relationships, and integration of collaborative processes into the public policy work of participating organizations. The Director of Administration is an important member of the Center’s Management Team. Supervising a staff of six and working with approximately 15 employee practitioners and an equal number of external practitioner consultants, the Administrative Director is ultimately responsible for all internal Center functions and operations. The duties of the position include the following:

 Center Administration: Supervise staff with line responsibility for all Center administrative functions; lead teams to address any administrative or process problems; lead re-engineering and systems improvement efforts.
 Finances and Budgeting: Provide regular reports on Center financial status; monitor accounts payable/receivable activity; develop fiscal recommendations.
 Information Technology: implement required policies on IT use; assesses needs for and oversees functioning of Center’s electronic, telephonic, multi-media and website systems; directs efforts to improve IT services internally and externally to clients.
 Human Resources and Personnel Management: Provides oversight of Center hiring, promotion, and compensation systems; implements university personnel policies; assists with internal professional development programs.
 Procurement and Contracts Management: Oversees the Center’s contracting and procurement activities; leads Request for Proposals teams; builds and manages the Center’s business development database and other tools.
 Liaison with the University: Represents the Center and the Executive Director on all above functional areas to the University.

Salary will be commensurate with demonstrated experience in administration and management in the range of $6,667 and $8,333 monthly for full-time work in Sacramento.
