JOB DESCRIPTION: The California Correctional Peace Officers Association is accepting applications for a newly created Staff Counsel position with its Arbitration Division.

General duties include analyzing and arbitrating contract grievances, filing and litigating unfair practice charges before the PERB, filing motions in the appropriate Superior Court to compel arbitration and to confirm arbitration decisions and various other civil and administrative matters.

This position will work out of CCPOA’s West Sacramento office however, statewide travel is required.

Required Experience:
Applicants should have at least 3-5 years of progressive experience in litigating matters before arbitrators, state and federal administrative agencies and California and federal courts. Membership in the State Bar of California is required.
